I am Murray Olowa from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville in Papua New Guinea.
I am the last born in my family. I have 4 kids. Also, I am a mathematics lecturer in a teacher’s college. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education at the University of Goroka in PNG and later obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics.
I have taught in secondary schools for 8 years in various schools teaching upper secondary advanced mathematics. After that, I joined primary teachers’ college and taught mathematics for 3 years. Recently in 2020, I joined secondary teachers’ college and taught various mathematics courses prior to coming to Japan to do my master’s studies.
I thank JICA for the opportunity given to me to pursue my studies and look forward to contributing to human resource development after completing my studies in Papua New Guinea. I also thank my professor Satoshi Kusaka and Naruto University of Education staff for accepting me to study in here.
